MultiChannel Technologies – As part of the VA’s effort to transform VA’s current way of doing business, VA is providing employees with up-to-date tools to better serve Veterans, their families, and other stakeholders like medical providers and Veteran Service Organizations (VSO). Specifically, Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and eGain Knowledge Management (KM) applications have been approved as the platforms for all VA contact centers and their escalation points of contact. In support of the CRM and KM objectives, the TechWerks Team has been developing and implementing comprehensive technical web-based training (WBT) modules for various VA business lines call center personnel under this Task Order as of September 2016. Team TechWerks provides analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation services to conduct and evaluate CRM and KM training for VA call centers and their escalation points of contact, leveraging industry standards and best practices for instructional design and virtual learning, such as ‘Human Centered Design’ methodology, to identify and develop the resulting training strategy and products.
TechWerks provides a full spectrum of delivery options ranging depending on the specific client requirements. We evaluate each training need from the learner’s perspective and ensure the training objectives are met though the most learner friendly and effective approach. TechWerks uses the Agile-enhanced ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model guided by Human Centered Design (HCD) principles to ensure comprehensive development processes that produce highly relevant, instructionally sound training targeted to individual audience types. We work from high-level requirements and constraints to tailor activities and outputs of subsequent phases. We simultaneously plan and identify those activities that can be implemented in the latter stages of ADDIE. TechWerks’ methodology is adaptable, versatile, scalable to meet client requirements, and based on our experience and lessons learned.

TechWerks, LLC provides senior leaders with Executive Coaching support services. Our 20 Master Certified Coaches (MCCs) are certified by the International Coaching Federation and have hundreds of hours of formal training and over 2500 coaching hours before reaching MCC status. We recognize that participants in the executive coaching program will have varied needs and therefore recommend a less prescriptive approach for structuring the engagement. Rather, each participant will work closely with his/her coach to articulate specific goals during the initial engagement, and they will work collaboratively to define the best approach for making progress towards those goals over their time together. Providing participants and coaches with flexibility in their approach will allow them to structure their time together in a way that will best support each unique participant. TechWerks coaches work with the Executive to identify developmental opportunities to be accessed through formal learning and development programs (e.g., coaching or the SLC), on-the-job experiences, and other mechanisms (e.g., mentoring, self-study, etc.).
VA Executive Coaching – The VA Executive Coaching Program facilitated by TechWerks has over 200 ongoing and completed SES engagements and has been lauded by both VA leadership and the program’s participants as a crucial part of senior leader development. The TechWerks project manager is a retired Army officer who has built a strong relationship with VA in improving the program through streamlined processes, including enhancements to a web-based management tool and timely reporting. Independent program evaluation provides valuable feedback to VA on the effectiveness of the coaching program. TechWerks developed an Executive Coaching Plan that included establishing regular meetings with the executive. Once the coaching plan is finalized, the coach and executive will meet for the recommended and approved hours of coaching. At the end of the 18th month of engagement, all Executives will be required to complete a 360 leadership assessment. In addition to meeting with the executive, developing and following the ECP, and supporting the executive throughout the engagement, the Coach may assist the executive in other developmental activities such as the creation of an Executive Development Plan (EDP). The EDP is unique from the ETP and the ECP in that it identifies developmental opportunities to be accessed through formal learning and development programs (e.g., coaching or the SLC), on-the-job experiences, and other mechanisms (e.g., mentoring, self-study, etc.).
