VA OSDBU – Executive Support – TechWerks provides executive program services associated with supporting the primary functions of the VIP verification and application process. The support encompasses technical expertise and analytical reviews and directly affects the Critical Path Verification Process associated with the VA VetBiz Verification Program as executed and governed by CVE and OSDBU. We provide executive level processes which support that function, program support services to help collect and analyze Program information and metrics to review and develop executive correspondence; provide support to CVE executive personnel; provide strategic planning, performance measurement, change sustainment and initiation of major initiatives; improve the reputation of the organization through improvements made in all support area; and administer training for CVE.

OSDBU Critical Path Verification Process – TechWerks supports the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) with highly-qualified and experienced analysts to ensure continuous and efficient verification of Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). Our analysts are thoroughly familiar with the latest CVE process and many of the current challenges, such as high employee turnover and volume fluctuations, and delays in onboarding and training. We deliver the knowledge, approach, and experience necessary to provide CVE with exceptional Verification Transformation Support Services.
TechWerks supports a wide-variety of decision support and data analytics activities. We have experts in generating complex data from large databases and providing management reports, creating decision support dashboard, and drawing conclusions based on data. Our team of data scientist and analyst are specifically trained in analyzing medical, supply chain, and financial data. VBA Compensation Studies – TechWerks provides project management and analysis support services to Compensation Service for a variety of projects throughout the period of performance. TechWerks assists the Government in implementing disciplined, comprehensive, flexible program and project management processes, including monitoring of project metrics, rigorous risk management, and prompt reporting on Government-approved cost, schedule, and scope baselines.
We audit projects and test programs against highly complex requirements, policies, laws and regulations, security plans, quality assurance plans, or testing guidelines to ensure compliance. The results of our audits are briefed to leadership and other stakeholders. We design and develop data solutions using applications such as Excel, Tableau, SharePoint, One Note, other web applications. We train Compensation Service divisions on how to use data solutions and provide consultation to Compensation Service divisions on how to use data more efficiently and effectively.
TechWerks develops advanced statistical models for independent, continuous, and comprehensive evaluation, planning, and analysis of Compensation Service divisions. Statistical findings are translated into terms easily understood by laypeople and meaningful to decision makers, managers, and test officers. TechWerks provides subject matter experts in statistical analysis including expertise in the use of statistical software packages, such as SAS or Minitab.
Military Medical Equipment Standardization Office (MMESO) – TechWerks supports the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Defense Logistics Agency Medical (DLA) – TechWerks supports an enterprise-wide medical materiel standardization program to close the gap between institutional and operational standardization decisions, improve efficiency and effectiveness for both institutional and operational environments, improve joint commonality and interoperability, promote cost effective infrastructure, and meet common and unique Service operating requirements. We facilitate high levels of medical materiel standardization across the Services in the selection and sourcing of medical materiel acquired for the production of medical assemblages and report compliance; document gaps in medical supply chain processes that limit the achievement of enterprise standardization goals, with sufficient information and analysis to support the prioritization and implementation of solutions; and recommend reduction of non-standard products across the DHA enterprise.
TechWerks has long standing relationships with some of the most well-known and respected Subject Matter Experts from VA, DoD, HHS, academic institutions and healthcare organizations worldwide. TechWerks has extensive experience providing deployment support services, including developing executive level, as well as, end user communications strategies for clinical informatics programs, clinical system development and support, system training and resilience training. TechWerks founder, Mike Fravell, is all too familiar with the criticality of strategic communications in the healthcare setting. As the former CIO of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, the largest US military hospital outside of the U.S. and the epicenter of treatment for wounded soldiers coming from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, he has first-hand experience with clinician and patient needs for user centric workflows and technical systems. Human Centered Design (HCD) is core to our program management principles and we applaud the continued momentum, training and execution that is re-framing the way we address mission-critical problems.

We have extensive experience developing and implementing successful communications strategies specifically tailored for each initiative and audience. We will assess and plan integrated communications strategies responsive to transformation efforts as they evolve.
Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) – We know what it takes to meet the high standards that our clients establish for all of their engagements. For example, we produce communication products and content pieces for the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), where we have a team researching new protocols and care pathways for high visibility programs. We are able to take complex, scientific research and present it in easily comprehensible ways for a wide variety of audiences. We created a portfolio of communication pieces related to soldier readiness and behavioral health research findings, critical for dissemination that have been presented globally across DoD to soldiers and their families. Our materials are frequently included in Congressional reports, interagency collaborative presentations, longitudinal studies, and other publications that reach both clinical and lay person audiences.
VA Veteran Caregiver Training Program –
In support of the VA IPO, TechWerks was instrumental in providing both strategic communications and executive support to multiple task areas including migration planning, risk management, and stakeholder communications and coordination. We also facilitated interagency conference calls, onsite meetings, and program management where crafting and delivering messages for existing health information sharing initiatives at DoD and VA joint locations was so crucial.
